Getting a degree that was not of your own choice was something I did not regret about. Never procrastinate (reading endless chapters)  and always be prepared  (long comprehensive pre and post exams) were the values that instill on me up to this day. I am a licensed Physical Therapist by profession but eventually diverted into the retail industry after getting the national licensure certification. Treating medically ill patients during internship enlightened me not only to value my life but also to the existence of the people around me. “You only live once”, they say.

        Being a manager of a supermarket was a tough one. Handling day-to-day business operations were very challenging. Retail is a fast-moving industry with lots of demands thrown away. This is when I learned multi-tasking and developed my problem-solving skills. Hitting sales in target, planning and maintaining the work system, and motivating my team were among the hardest struggles, yet very rewarding once you saw your accomplishments. I treated the company as if my own. Though, great things never came from your comfort zone.

        It was a big transition when I decided to join the BPO industry after ten long years from the retail store.  I worked as a customer service representative and as an order management officer for big international Telecom companies, respectively. Being totally new to your surroundings and work tasks – working in front of the computer the whole day specifically, was a big challenge but not a drawback. Initiative and determination were all I had. In here I learned what is inside the internet world and what business is globally. I developed working fast and accurate with a keen eye for details.  I managed to exceed the expectations of my employers and team leaders through persistence and dedication.

       These experiences molded me to become a Professional Virtual Assistant. More than the skill sets that I acquired are the work ethics that I developed. I became not just a hard worker but a smart worker. My job requires continuous learning. Till now, I am regularly attending several online classes to widen and enhance my skills more and to keep updated to this fast-changing industry.

 

        After fourteen long years, I finally found my passion and purpose as an independent worker through Virtual Assistance. This is to help individual entrepreneurs or companies reach their business' success along the way. I realized working from a remote location as a freelancer can make a huge difference the way I can help people. There is no more fulfilling than doing what you love to do,  and it’s amazing to get very good feedback from the people I worked with.
